Thank you for securing your General Admission ticket and Premium Parking at University of Waikato

Here is your key information:

PARKING

Your pre-paid parking is within the road closures, so you will need to show them the below map and/or your parking ticket to get through the road closure checkpoint at Clyde Street and Knighton Road. Please have this pre-printed or ready to display on your phone to avoid causing any delays going through this checkpoint.

Please follow all signage and directions from staff.

The car park opens at 3pm, and closes to any new arrivals from 7:45pm. If you arrive before 3pm, you will be turned away.

Once you’re inside the event, you won’t be able to leave and come back in.

Note: Your parking ticket is for parking only and does not include entry to the ZURU Nightglow. A separate valid General Admission ticket per person is required.

We’re excited to have you joining us at the ZURU Nightglow. Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive to help your experience run smoothly.

Your tickets

  • Your QR codes will appear on your ticket confirmation 24 hours prior to the event
  • Everyone aged 1 year and over must have their own valid ticket
  • Please have your tickets ready on arrival

    Accessibility Viewing Zone
    At the ZURU Nightglow, we will have a dedicated Accessibility Viewing Zone

    • The team at Ride Your Trike will be onsite in this space to assist attendees.
    • It operates on a first in, first serve basis for mobility-impaired patrons only.
    • Limited seating and space available.
    • Due to space limitations we can only accept one support person each

     To ensure space is available for those who need it most, we’re unable to accommodate extended family groups in this area.

      Event overview
      The ZURU Nightglow is one of New Zealand’s biggest free community events and one of the most anticipated annual spectacles in the country. Families from across the region gather to experience the glowing hot air balloons, live entertainment, and the iconic Nightglow finale that lights up the Hamilton sky.

      Grassroots Trust Walk-Thru Balloon
      Experience a hot air balloon envelope up close.

      • 3:00pm to 7:00pm
      • $2 per person (cash or EFTPOS)

      Keeping everyone safe
      Grab a wristband for children or vulnerable people on entry from the Lodge Lost Kids team and add a contact number

      Think about:

        • Setting a family meeting point
        • Children should approach event staff if they get lost
        • Please supervise children at all times

      • Picnic blanket or folding chairs
      • Empty plastic or metal reusable water bottle
      • Homemade snacks or Domino’s food
